Permits are required for the following:
The erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, removal, improvement, demolition, conversion or change in the nature of the occupancy of any building or structure.
All clients wishing to obtain a permit must either:
- supply this office with the contractor's\certificate of insurance showing worker's compensation and disability (if the contractor does not carry worker's compensation and disability s/he must come into this office to sign a self-employed waiver)
- if the homeowner is doing the work, s/he must sign a self-liability waiver
Drawings/plot plans must also be submitted for construction including, but not limited to, fences, pools, new construction, accessory structures. Any job with an estimated cost of $20,000.00 or more is required to submit three sets of stamped N.Y.S. architectural plan.
