Public Skating
Casey Park offers open public ice skating during the winter months, with skate rental available.  Times for public skating may vary based on tournament and games schedules.

The last day for 2013-14 Public Skating will be Thursday, February 27, 2014.

YMCA Skating Lessons at Casey Park

Learn to Skate at Casey Park-  (6) 1/2 Hour Sessions
Ages 4-12
Session 1: January 4- February 22
First time skaters: 2-2:30 p.m.
Beginning/advanced: 2:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Skaneateles/Auburn YMCA Members: $60
General Public: $85
Note: No sessions on January 18 or February 1, 2014

Winter Break Skating Camp
Ages 4-12
February 17-21
First time skaters: 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Beginners: 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Returning skaters: 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Skaneateles/Auburn YMCA Members: $50
General Public: $70

Skate & Shoot
The objective of the Skaneateles YMCA & Community Center's Skate and Shoot program is to provide a casual and non-agressive environment in which members of the community are able to practice and devlop ice hockey related skills, such as skating maeuverability, stick handling, and shooting accuracy.
Skaneateles/ Auburn YMCA Members: FREE
General Public: $10 per session

Adult Open Hockey
Adults 18+
September - March 2014
Thursdays 9:30-11:00 p.m.
This is a non-checking open hockey session for all levels, full equipment is required.  Bring both a light and dark colored jersey.  Teams will be divided up equally each session.  There are no referees.
Player coordinator: Corey Guerette
Goalie coordinator: Paul Ciras
YMCA members are required to show their valid YMCA membership card.  Non-members pay $10 to the player coordinator (please bring exact amount).
Skaneateles/Auburn YMCA members: FREE
General Public: $10 per night

Casey Park is one of Central New York’s finest outdoor recreational facilities.
It provides year-round activities including:

  • Tennis, volleyball, soccer
  • 50-meter Olympic pool
  • Outdoor basketball courts, horseshoe pits
  • Walking path
  • Skateboard park
  • Public Skating
An amphitheater, covered picnic shelter and playground equipment for children are also available. Casey Park also offers lighted tennis courts as well as two lighted softball fields.  From November to February, ice skating and hockey are available on the refrigerated ice surface.

Facility Usage
