Planning & Zoning
The Office of Planning & Economic Development is responsible for the administration of planning and zoning functions within the City. Key functions include:
Preparation, modification, and maintenance of a comprehensive plan and land use regulations
Evaluation of applications for special use permits, variances, site plan approval and subdivision approval
Evaluation of proposals for zoning amendments
Dissemination of information on zoning and land use regulations to the public
This Office serves as primary staff to the Planning Board and Historic Resources Review Board and provides assistance to Corporation Counsel and the Code Enforcement Office for the Zoning Board of Appeals.
