Planning Assistant (full time)
The City of Auburn, New York is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Planning Assistant in the Office of Planning and Economic Development. There is one (1) opening for this position.
The work involves assisting in the preparation of planning studies, and assisting in the
administration and implementation of local, Federal and State funded projects. The position is responsible for performing a variety of basic research activities associated with planning, community development and capital projects. The work also involves a variety of clerical and administrative assistant office duties as well as attending evening City Board meetings and recording meeting minutes. Supervision is not a responsibility of this position. Related work will also be required.
This appointment will be made provisionally. The appointee will be required to appear for a Civil Service exam for the position, and the appointment will only become permanent upon successful completion of the exam as one of the top three candidates.
