	The Human Resource Director serves as the personnel officer and key member of the City of Auburn’s senior management team, facilitating human resource initiatives throughout City government. The Human Resources Department oversees the City of Auburn’s organizational training and development; contract negotiations; compliance with all federal and state regulations; employees’ benefits and compensation analysis and change implementation; human resources issues, policies, and practices’ advisement; risk management supervision; total performance management assessment and implementation; workers’ compensation supervision; HRIS establishment and management; and employees’ record-keeping management. Working with State and local Civil Service and Department leadership, Human Resources addresses aspects of hiring, selection, and recruitment. The Department of Human Resources is a separate function from the Office of Human Rights [Human Rights office is located at 17 William Street].
