PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM MANAGER

The City of Auburn, New York is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Planning and Economic Development Program Manager in the Office of Planning and Economic Development. There is currently one (1) opening for this position. This appointment will be made provisionally and must meet Civil Service requirements. The Program Manager works under the general supervision of the Director of Planning and Economic Development and will be primarily responsible for business attraction, retention and expansion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS:
Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s degree in planning, landscape architecture, public administration, economics or a related field and two years (2) of experience in municipal, community or regional planning;
Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor’s degree in planning, landscape architecture, public administration, economics or a related field and three (3) years of experience as defined by the limits outlined in (a); or
An equivalent combination or training and experience as defined by the limits outlined in (a) and (b) above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate selected must be a resident of the City of Auburn within sixty (60) days from the date of provisional appointment.
SALARY RANGE:
Minimum starting salary low $60s. Salary is dependent on education and experience.
